When John was released from prison, he came to Connections Work to help him get back on his feet so he could take care of his family. He received workforce development training, mentoring, financial literacy education, and case management, where he set realistic goals. John is ready to get a job but does not have the money for the ONE thing he needed to get to accept the job: work boots.
YOUR DONATION can put those WORK BOOTS in his hands, and he can start that JOB that pays a LIVING WAGE.
This job will allow John to afford a CAR, or means of transportation to work, and HOUSING FOR HIS FAMILY.
When the family is in a SAFE HOME, and REGULAR MEALS are on the table, CHILDREN DO BETTER IN SCHOOL, the family's mental and physical HEALTH IMPROVES, and JOHN IS LESS LIKELY TO RETURN TO PRISON.
